Following the destruction of Jedha City by the first Death Star's superlaser, some Jedha crystals were recovered from its ruins. Many of the recovered crystals were cracked and damaged, and those were referred to as "cracked Jedha crystals." Unlike undamaged Jedha crystals, cracked Jedha crystals used in lightsabers produced unstable, ragged blades. Cracked Jedha crystals cost 8,000 credits.
Jedha crystals were first mentioned in the 2018 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Knights of Fate.
