Jamel

The jamel was a yellow-skinned, four-legged creature native to the planet Utapau. Jamels were used as beasts of burden by the Utapau Amani. During the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker found a jamel near an Amani village during their mission to Utapau and used it to pull a cart carrying a massive kyber crystal.

The jamel first appeared in "Crystal Crisis," the third episode of the unfinished arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, "Crystal Crisis on Utapau," as part of The Clone Wars Legacy. Though not named within the episode, the name "jamel" was revealed in a StarWars.com news post, "Monsters of The Clone Wars: A Season Six Bestiary." Jamels are inspired by real-world camels.
