Jafan

In 832 BBY during the Great Time of Peace, the Naboo founded the city of Theed on the banks of the river Solleu and under King Jafan's rule it became capital of Naboo. That same year, Jafan directed the people of the newly founded Theed to construct the Theed Royal Palace as the seat of the Royal House of Naboo, with the king building a small temple and its adjoining chamber, which was known as the Turret Room, in the palace.

In the current Star Wars canon, Jafan was first mentioned in "Theed: Naboo's Capital City," an article in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the twenty fourth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, which was released on around June 17, 2015. The character originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund.
