While traveling to Thelj, Cincey—one of the Children—sent a query to the secretary posing as a buyer on behalf of the Hynestian royal family about buying the artifact. In response, the secretary politely and forthcomingly stated that Graf and her entourage were off Thelj for at least a month, but would be open to discussion after she returned. The Children ultimately failed to acquire the artifact as Zeveron betrayed them by having the compound warned of the group's mission, resulting in all but one of the Children being killed.
