The small outpost provided a point of origin for the Hutt's illegal operations. Unless there was business to be dealt with, Jabba's thugs were not partial to having visitors near the structure.
Jabba's Star appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
