Ivhin Jayme

Biography

Jayme was raised by parents who had a very hands-off attitude. This lead him to growing up without a sense of purpose. He enrolled in the Imperial Army in hopes of getting some direction in his life. He excelled as a soldier and got promoted to staff sergeant in the Imperial Sector Urban Troopers. He grew disillusioned with the military after being ordered to blow up a building that contained political dissidents, including children. He deserted and ended up meeting T'Charek Haathi on Rodaj who convinced him to join Rebel Alliance. He worked with the Urban Commandos but didn't like their strict adherence to Alliance regulations. He was recruited to T'Charek Haathi's Special Ops team.

Stealing The Maker

Jayme accompanied Haathi's team to Zelos II to steal a ship for the Rebel Alliance. After Haathi determined which ship would be their target, they infiltrated a maintenance tower that overlooked a starport. Haathi and Dren Nord kept an eye on security while Jayme rewired the backup computers. He left the tower and proceeded to the forcefield that protected the ship. Once Morgan Q. Raventhorn overloaded the main security computer, Jayme used an extendable staff to pole vault over the power fence protecting the docking bay. He was able to get inside before the auxiliary generators came on-line. Once inside, he used a VoiceBox to trick the security systems into shutting down. He let the rest of the team into the docking bay and took up a watch position with Dren as Raventhorn attempted to bypass the freighter's security. Haathi preemptively tried to board The Maker but was knocked unconscious by the stun steps on the entry ramp. When the security guards noticed the team in the docking bay, they started to attack and Jayme was forced to direct the counter-attack. Nord took his blaster off of stun and fired deadly shots at the security force, and Haathi ordered Jayme to stun him. Before he had to attack his teammate, Haathi ordered everyone to board the freighter. Jayme assisted Haathi onto the ship and to the cockpit, where they found it blocked off by a sealed hatch. He blew open the hatch with some detonite tape which allowed his commanding officer to start the ship and escape the planet.

Drop Point: Gelgelar

Jayme travelled to Drop Point: Gelgelar on The Maker with Haathi, Dren Nord, and Morgan Q. Raventhorn. After landing, he met with the commanding officer Arik Stijhl and his aide Maglenna Pendower. Stijhl asked the group what supplies they needed and Jayme requested medpacs. Before they could continue, the power went out on the freighter. Jayme followed Pendower to the ship's maintenance bay. They found Raventhorn in a state of ventricular fibrillation. Jayme assisted Pendower in reviving Raventhorn. After the tech was taken off the ship, Jayme decided to investigate since he did not believe her injuries were caused by an accident.

He went under the freighter and examined a maintenance tunnel under the hangar floor. The soldier caught sight of something moving and attempted to follow it when the lights in the warehouse went out. Determining that the assailant had sabotaged the lights and was making its way to the hangar door controls to trap all the Rebel personnel in the building, he quickly moved to the override controls. Before he could open the doors, he realized he was being targeted by an assassin droid that had been hiding on his ship. The soldier quickly climbed up a cable chain to the second floor of the warehouse as the Doom Slayer assassin droid chased him. Jayme shot at the droid, but was unable to penetrate its shields. He continued to avoid the droids attacks, and managed to get close enough to shoot it at point-blank range. The droid responded by grabbing him around the ankles with its tentacle arm. He broke through a plastiboard covering an unfinished turbo-lift shaft. Briefly suspended by the droid, Jayme's weight caused the droid to drop him and he fell to the floor of the warehouse. He recovered from the fall and searched around for a weapon to defend himself. He picked up a pair of hull cutters and prepared to face the assassin droid. He was able to destroy the droid with the tool, but realized that the droid had a self-destruct mechanism installed. He met up with Pendower and was able to get her and Raventhorn aboard The Maker before it escaped the explosion caused by the assassin droid.
