The Inner Circle was a group of senior members of the Wyrd, a coven of Tarasin dark side Force witches from the planet Cularin. The Inner Circle were directly answerable to Wyrd's leader. Though the Inner Circle were once more numerous, by about 19 BBY the Wyrd had suffered various setbacks and only six members of the Inner Circle remained. In a final gamble to achieve dominance on Cularin, the First Witch of the Wyrd, the leader of the witches, committed the Wyrd to a plot to turn the ch'hala trees of Cularin to the dark side of the Force. The witch Cheelru, a member of the Inner Circle, questioned the suitability of this plan and was imprisoned by the First Witch as a consequence. Shortly thereafter, the remaining five members of the Inner Circle accompanied the First Witch to the ch'hala Heart Tree and initiated a ritual to corrupt Cularin's ch'hala trees. However, the witches were defeated by the heroes of Cularin and their plan thwarted.
