When a bloody coup occurred on Couronne, M'Toc, who worked as a member of the monarchical High King's Guard, fled the planet. In 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire occupied Cloud City on the planet Bespin. By that time, M'Toc had joined Cloud City's Wing Guard, becoming a leader in the security force, and he was present on Cloud City during the Imperial takeover.
The Imzig species was created by Utris M'Toc's card in the 1997 Cloud City Limited expansion set of Decipher, Inc.'s Star Wars Customizable Card Game. According to Star Wars author Stephen J. Sansweet, M'Toc was considered for use in the 1980 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back but was apparently never filmed and can only be seen in production photos taken on set.
