The Imperius was the priesthood on the planet Irmenu. They held control over the Imperial Irmenu Navy and the planet's sole spaceport (the only form of communication between the planet and the rest of the galaxy since its rediscovery), and could excommunicate people on the planet, acting as the unofficial power over Irmenu. The Imperius and the Irmenu people themselves, while accepting of contact with the rest of the galaxy, were nonetheless wary of it.
