Imperial Special Operations, or Imperial Spec Ops, was a unit of the Galactic Empire, a division of the Imperial Army.
The Ghost Battalion, officially the Special Ops Group, was a legendary military group of convert operations. In some of their assignments, such as the Subjugation of Sulon, they used converted captured vehicles, or appropriately disguised Imperial vehicles and S.O. commandoes. The result would be to accuse the Rebel Alliance and accuse them for the as terrorists.

The Special Operations is an entity that was intended to appear in the video game Star Wars: Dark Forces, represented by the agent Ruu San who protected the Dark Trooper Project, however these references were cut.
