An Imperial Base in the Dregan's Pike region of the Core World of Corellia was in operation during the time of the Galactic Civil War. This base was under the control of the Galactic Empire after the Battle of Yavin. In 1 ABY, this base was used as a hiding spot for several stolen Rebel X-Wings. The Empire hoped to use these X-Wings for illicit purposes, in an attempt to turn public opinion against the Rebel Alliance. However, a Rebel operative working for Wedge Antilles overheard two Imperial officers discussing this plan in the city of Bela Vistal. To pave the way for disrupting their plans, a group of Rebel operatives set off towards the base, eliminated a number of stormtrooper guards, and destroyed three security terminals within the base's bunker. A Rebel recovery team eventually managed to recover 85% of the stolen starships.
The Imperial Base was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The Imperial Base was added to the game with the revamped "Rebel Theme Park," released with the update dubbed "Chapter 6," on May 22, 2007.
