A Hutt's Delight was a type of ale consumable by Trandoshans. It was made of a colorful slurry of aquatic organisms and was sold as a beverage at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in the spaceport of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine. The concoction, named after the crime boss Jabba the Hutt, was local to Tatooine and sold from towering silver dispensers.
Sometime between 7 ABY and 9 ABY, a Trandoshan belligerently ordered a Hutt's Delight from EV-9D9, a droid tending to the bar of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina. Angered at the patron's treatment of her friend, the astromech droid R5-D4, EV-9D9 served him some of the ale spiked with Sennari—a poison toxic to Trandoshans—and watched him sit down to drink it. Expecting fallout once the Trandoshan discovered his drink had been tampered with, she and R5-D4 left the cantina.
Hutt's Delight was first mentioned in the 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know. The beverage first appeared in "The Key to Remembering," a short story published in the 2023 anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi and authored by Olivia Chadha.
