When Imperial Task Force Vengeance was deployed in the Elrood sector, the Alliance was forced to withdraw from their assets there, including Hormuuz. In the middle of the evacuation, the Empire attacked with Assault Gunboats, the Victory Star Destroyer Stormhawk and the Imperial Star Destroyer Rage, trying to destroy the fleeing Rebel transports. Eventually the evacuation was complete, Hormuuz however fell into Imperial hands.
Shortly later, the Alliance staged a raid against their former station in an effort to reclaim supplies left behind during the evacuation. During the process the station was disabled yet again.
