Honoghran

Honoghran, or Noghrese was the native language of the Noghri species from Honoghr. Upon first encountering Noghri speaking Honoghran, the protocol droid C-3PO only partially understood the language and believed it was a dialect of an ancient trade language.

Most Noghri were fluent in both Honoghran and Basic, although with whispered, chilling and soft voices. However, they were usually only literate in their own language.

Aliens who regularly dealt with Noghri, including as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Leia Organa Solo, sometimes learned Honoghran to speak with them.
