HoloNet News (Insider)

Republic HoloNet News, featured in Star Wars Insider magazine, is a series of in-universe news articles detailing galactic events during the Clone Wars. The articles are written by Pablo Hidalgo. Holonet News articles were published in Star Wars Insider issues #65 to #76, after the release of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.

According to Hidalgo, the articles stopped due to the complexity involved in navigating the amount of Clone Wars-era content being produced, and because real-world news reports were detailing real wars. However, Holonet News articles returned to the Insider in issue #84, detailing the events immediately after the formation of the Galactic Empire (by Daniel Wallace and Pablo Hidalgo). According to Wallace on the Dark Horse boards, they wished to continue the series as Imperial HoloVision, but the new Insider leadership decided against it.
