During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, morale among the troops was at its lowest. Consequently, the demotivated soldiers received smuggled goods for leisure time activities to lift up the mood.
The Rebel Alliance fought to free the planet from the Galactic Empire and from Glorga the Hutt in the Second Hollastin Insurrection. Glorga was eventually murdered and the planet became part of the New Republic.
