Historiography was an academic subject. Courses on it were taught to Jedi Padawans at the Jedi Temple. Padawan Reath Silas' departure from Coruscant to join his Master, Jora Malli, at the Starlight Beacon space station was delayed by several weeks so he could finish the exams for the historiography class he was taking. Reluctant to leave the ecumenopolis and venture into the Galactic Frontier, Silas considered intentionally failing the exams, but could not bring himself to do it.
