In the new Star Wars canon, Hesperidium was mentioned in the twenty-sixth issue of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, released in 2015. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Hesperidium first appeared in the 1997 novel Planet of Twilight, written by Barbara Hambly.
