As a J4-SN Chef Droid, the Head Chef Droid was plated in a gold coloration, with a blue photoreceptor and four multipurpose appendages. The Head Chef Droid also wore a large custom chef hat on top of them. They were known for being difficult to impress, upholding stringent requirements and rejecting dishes left and right, sending nothing out to the guests to the dismay of the cantina’s proprietor.
The Head Chef Droid was first introduced during the Feast of Prosperity event within the 2019 Star Wars: The Old Republic: Onslaught expansion for BioWare's 2011 massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, playing a key role in the event's "Cooking Mini-game." The Head Chef Droid's hat is modeled to resemble a real-world chef's Toque.
