He risked strict legal penalty in choosing to not jettison the egg along with the rest of his illicit cargo, a fact that Puhr much appreciated upon receiving the egg.
Beyond the culinary use of the gwayo bird egg, the bird's meat was also edible. Gwayo meat was used in the dish Fried Sakiyan Gwayo with Herb-roasted Topato, sold at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu in 34 ABY. The restaurant also sold the Temple Rootleaf and Moss Salad, which could be served with a marinated, soft-boiled gwayo egg.
