A groundpounder was the lower of the three main classes that inhabited Metellos. The groundpounders consisted of , plant workers, con artists, thieves, and indigents. Few groundpounders ever left their home planet. They lived and died only within a few kilometers of their dwelling, bumping shoulders with more people in a day than most citizens of the Outer Rim met in a year.
