A frieze depicting a from the Great Sith Wars had adorned the chambers of a Sith Emperor during or after around 4000 BBY. The bas-relief later came under the possession of Sheev Palpatine after an archaeological dig on the moon Yavin 4.
The Great Sith Wars first appeared in a bas-relief in the film . They where identified as such in the 2023 reference book Star Wars 100 Objects. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the conflict depicted on the bas-relief was identified as the Great Hyperspace War.
