Gorima conducted his studies in an underwater facility on Manaan. When he arrived to a satisfactory result, however, Republic and Imperial strike teams sent by Theron Shan and Lana Beniko fought their ways in the base and confronted him. Darok and Arkous, who observed the situation from a distance, then activated the facility's self-destruct system. Gorima died in the destruction, as later confirmed by Darth Xarion.
Gorima first appeared in Game Update 2.9 of the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, released by BioWare in 2014. If the player character chooses the dark side conversational option, Gorima is murdered by Jakarro. If the light side option is chosen, Gorima's life is spared, but he dies in the facility's destruction.
