Gimald Nuruodo was a Chiss male flight instructor and military officer. He believed very strongly in tradition and loyalty to the group.
In 19 ABY, Gimald served as a flight instructor and a commandant at the Chiss military academy in the Rata Nebula. Given the status of that academy and his displays of respect for Kres'ten'tarthi, he may have been working with the Empire of the Hand.
He was killed leading the cadets to their clawcraft in the attack on the academy by the Cavrilhu Pirates.
