Galboron

Galboron was a celestial body situated in the Galboron system, a part of the Hertae sector in the Slice portion of the Mid Rim. It and the Nexus Ortai system were both located near the intersection of the hyperlanes known as the Askar Trace—which linked them to the Leritor, Lanos, and Bresnia system—and the Reena Trade Route, which connected them to the Masterra and Spirador systems.

In 18 BBY, the Noolian Crisis began when Aqualish members of the holdouts of the recently defeated Confederacy of Independent Systems seized Galboron and other nearby worlds. The conflict was resolved when the Aqualish were defeated by a Galactic Empire task force at the famous Battle of Galboron.

Galboron was first introduced as part of the name of the Battle of Galboron in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, a 1995 sourcebook authored by Rick D. Stuart for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In 2012, the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart, established Galboron as a distinct astronomical object. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Galboron system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square Q-14.
