According to myth, the four See Seers guarded the Eye of the Albino Cyclops within the Gates of Grontessiant, which itself was located beyond the . They were overseen by the Lord Being of the Swirblies, and judged individuals upon their worthiness to behold the Albino Cyclops. They were possibly Swirblies themselves.
