After the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems at the First Battle of Geonosis, Fleet Support—and by extension Fleet Support Base—was called upon to receive twenty thousand clone troopers in various states of injury, in addition to another seventy-two thousand combat-ready troops. The base was considered by clone commando RC-1136 to be ill-equipped to support the tens of thousands of clone soldiers it housed in the aftermath of Geonosis.
