Fire Lotus-class starfighters were big, heavy starfighters that were capable of traveling through hyperspace. They had a series of large foils that were arranged as a "shield blossom" around four rear engines. These foils helped shield the starfighter from incoming enemy fire from behind. This design also protected the pilot's compartment during dogfights.
The ships were donated by Baron Lemayne and operated outside of the Republic Navy, with most of its pilots ex-Navy personnel. They supported the relief efforts of Grace Command attacking Sith forces and escorting transports like Mother Grace.
