Festival of the High Winds

The Festival of the High Winds was an annual event in Sevari culture, taking place at the late season equinox. Clan leaders, clan lords and spice lords and other clan representatives would attend ceremonies. Often spice merchants, crime lords, slavers, Imperials and others with interests in spice trading would participate in the events.

The main events at the festival were the thrilling wind races, in which clans would race their wind riders through nearby canyons at break neck speed in a tribute to their ancestors. The races were extremely dangerous, and their crews would use whatever means necessary to prevent the other parties from winning the race—including violence.
