Obdur headed the Office of Imperial Promotion, Galactic Truth, and Fact Correction, which was based aboard Sloane's Super Star Destroyer Ravager in the Vulpinus Nebula. Obdur and his assistant helped Sloane off the projection platform after the Grand Admiral had delivered a propaganda speech attacking the New Republic, the successor to the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
Ferric Obdur's assistant was a humanoid woman with pale skin with thick veins that glistened beneath. She was considered attractive by both Obdur and Sloane.
