Fermented kelp-ichor was a culinary preparation favored by the Crolutes, a sentient species native to the Mid Rim planet of Crul. Prepared by an alpha Crolute's concubines and junior spouses, fermented kelp-ichor was consumed by Crolute clan leaders at an alpha's mansion, as the leaders engaged in diplomatic and trade discussions while floating on their backs in the mansion's immersion tank.
Fermented kelp-ichor was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Aliens of the Galaxy, written by Jason Fry.
