The Eye of the Sun trilogy, written by Morrie Mullins, launched the Living Force campaign. It introduced the players to the planet Cularin, the towns of Gadrin and Hedrett, and the Hiironi irstat. The trilogy featured the heroes helping Cularin's residents to uncover illegal actions taken by the Metatheran Cartel's rogue leader, Velin Wir.
The adventures debuted at the Winter Fantasy 2001 convention, and were supported by some articles on the Wizards of the Coast website.
