Eris Harro

Eris Harro was an individual who served the Galactic Empire as Bureau Chief for the Outer Rim Node of the HoloNet News agency in the city of Phelar, on the Outer Rim planet Eriadu. Harro, along with Minister of Information Pollux Hax, dispatched messages welcoming new members into the Imperial Press Corps, a news organization comprised of what Harro and Hax claimed to be the galaxy's most esteemed journalists. Enclosed with each message was a badge which granted the authority to publicize all transgressions against the Galactic Empire.

Harro and Hax also sent wanted posters depicting several rebels who were active on the world of Lothal to Imperial Press Corps members, as well as a communiqué with instructions to spread the word. Journalists were reminded, however, to report sightings of the rebels to the local Imperial garrison rather than attempt to detain the criminals themselves.

Eris Harro was first named in the current Star Wars canon on a card sent to real-world journalists in 2014, alongside a pin of the Imperial Press Corps' emblem, as a promotion for the then-upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels. While one face of the card represented an in-universe communiqué sent by Harro and Pollux Hax, the flip side noted Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, the series premiere movie, would air on October 3, 2014, while the series itself would begin on October 13.

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Eris Harro first appeared in "The Guns of Kelrodo-Ai," a short story written by Jason Fry and published in the 132nd issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine on March 13, 2012 as a tie-in to the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and released that same year. Harro's surname in "The Guns of Kelrodo-Ai" was spelled as "Herro," while "Harro" was used in The Essential Guide to Warfare, with the latter being the same spelling utilized on the Star Wars Rebels promotional cards.
