The Eremite held principles on suffering claimed to be memorised by the monk and anchorite Kolob, resident of Jakku and member of the Anchorite sect, which believed in the light side of the Force and the basis of life being suffering.
The Consecrated Eremite may have been a holder of the title "Eremite," or the latter being intended as a shortened referral for the Consecrated Eremite. "Eremite" was also the name of one of Jakku's valleys.
