Epaulets were a a type of ornament worn on the shoulders of military uniforms, typically worn by officers. As of 14 BBY, most Imperial military officers' tunics did not have epaulets. Exceptions to this were the uniforms of Grand Admirals, which bore gold epaulets, and the uniforms of both ISB Major Partagaz and Colonel Wullf Yularen, which bore silver epaulets. Additionally, Army Commandant Jayhold Beehaz's ceremonial uniform bore silver epaulets.
General Yiv the Benevolent of the Nikardun Destiny wore symbionts on his shoulders which were likened to epaulets.
