Envoy-class shuttles were not meant for warfare, since they lacked heavy shielding or significant armament; nor were they very fast or maneuverable. They were used mostly by merchants or travelers for luxury. Envoy-class shuttles were affordable and had an easy-to-use navigation and autopilot system.
During the New Sith Wars, an anonymous benefactor donated the Envoy-class shuttle Star-Wake to the Army of Light, to assist in the war effort.
