The Elathan were a social group that shared its name with the Elatha system, located in the Stensen sector of the Outer Rim Territories. They had their first contact with the wider galaxy between the years 500–340 BBY, when they were visited by the Chu'unthor, a vast training ship operated by the Jedi Order. This first contact encounter garnered significant media attention across the galaxy.
