Dromund Kaas


Dromund Kaas was a world from which the Sith Lord Darth Sidious gathered up relics either before or after his supposed death at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. It was generally considered to be a myth until evidence of Palpatine's visit to the world was uncovered on the planet Exegol by the at some point following the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. The historian Beaumont Kin then mentioned Dromund Kaas in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.

Behind the scenes


In the current Star Wars canon, Dromund Kaas was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall. The originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, the 1998 expansion to the 1997 video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. The planet's name was spelt as "Drommund Kaas" in the expansion but later appeared as "Dromund Kaas" in the 2011 massively multiplayer roleplaying game Star Wars: The Old Republic.
