Drakñahr Syndrome was an obscure disease that struck without warning, often confusing doctors who were treating it as another illness. It was notable for being incredibly resistant to treatment of any kind; the entirety of Coruscant Medical and a roomful of Jedi healers and Silent were unable to cure one of Jos Vondar's patients afflicted with the syndrome.
