Dooze was a stormtrooper who served in the Galactic Empire's Gamma Squad. On the forest moon of Endor, Dooze and the rest of Gamma Squad followed Commander Altadan Igar and searched for the missing Theta Squad. During their search, Commander Igar encountered the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, who had come to turn himself in. When Dooze noticed him, he raised his blaster at him and kept it trained on the Jedi until Commander Igar told Dooze to search him. Confiscating Skywalker's lightsaber, Dooze handed it to Igar, although he did not recognize the weapon and asked if it was a hand torch. Igar questioned Skywalker, who revealed that he knew the location of the squad they were searching for, stating that he had encountered them earlier and that they were all dead. Dooze and the rest of Gamma Squad marched for a few kilometers to find them, with Skywalker showing them the way. They eventually found the squad, and Dooze saw the corpse of a friend, the scout trooper Rell. In a rage, Dooze used his rifle to assault Skywalker, with the Jedi not resisting as he layed several blows and screamed curses. Igar ordered Dooze to stop, and the squad took Skywalker back to their base.
