During the Clone Wars, the Talons swoop gang entered the Cularin Classic swoop race on the planet Cularin, so they hired Di'hal'uma check out the other participating teams. One of the other teams was made up of "Duckonians," a made-up species that the Togorian Mebara Jos and other members of the Fireclaw Horde had disguised themselves as. Di'hal'uma discovered the Duckonians' secret, so she arranged a meeting with Seng Windrunner, the leader of the Talons, to report this to him. However, Jos was aware of Di'hal'uma's investigation, so she arranged for the Blood Raptors to kidnap the Twi'lek from the Dancing Flame Tavern, on Cularin.
