Delassin VI

Description

Delassin VI was a terrestrial planet located in the Delassin system, a part of the Calaron sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. Occupying the sixth orbital position in its star system, the planet had several oceans and featured the Diniz and Zehr Seas.

History

Xenon Nnaksta worked on Delassin VI for a time.

Xenon Nnaksta worked on Delassin VI for a time.

At some point by 22 BBY, the orphaned Vodran Xenon Nnaksta gained passage off his homeworld, the Hutt Space planet Vodran, and, rejecting the traditional roles of the Vodran society, traveled to Delassin VI. There, the Vodran became employed as a docks longshoreman at the Diniz and Zehr Seas and enjoyed both the friendship and camaraderie of his fellow workers and the work itself, which involved the loading and unloading of cargo that often contained contraband. Eventually, Nnaksta was personally hired by the wealthy entrepreneur Meysen Kayson as a stockroom laborer for one of Kayson's retail outdoor outfitting stores. The Vodran's career path ultimately saw him travel off-world again.

Inhabitants

Primitive seagoing vessels were used on Delassin VI's Diniz and Zehr Seas. The vessels were serviced by dock workers that included Humans, Wookiees, labor droids, and other beings.

Behind the scenes

Delassin Six was first mentioned in "The Greel Wood Haven," a roleplaying source article authored by Craig Robert Carey and published in the May 1995 sixth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In 2008, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia introduced the name "Delassin VI" for the planet. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Delassin system, and therefore Delassin VI, in grid square T-9.
