A deflector core was the core inner-workings of a deflector shield generator. In 2 BBY, the Spectres Sabine Wren and Garazeb Orrelios extracted a deflector from a Deflector shield generator on the desert world of Geonosis. They used the deflector core to fend off several droidekas. Later, Commander Jun Sato praised the Spectres for obtaining a new deflector core for Chopper Base.
