Defender of the Home Tree was a title the Wookiees of Kashyyyk bestowed upon Yoda, Grand Master of the Jedi Order, for assisting them in many tense negotiations with their system neighbors, the Trandoshans. Yoda also earned the honor for helping the Wookiees defend Kashyyyk from Separatist raiders in 19 BBY.
