De Grom was an individual who served as a cadet for the Galactic Empire at the Academy for Young Imperials on Lothal. They seemed to have at least some potential as during a particular training exercise, they were one of three cadets at the top of the ranks, along with Jai Kell and Wheeler. The cadets were rewarded with an extra dessert ration and a free period.
