Dashades were a hulking reptilian sentient species. Two Dashades, Maliss and Sorath, worked as pirates. They were hired to run a mobile way station as part of Grand Admiral Balanhai Savit's scheme to capture freighters carrying vital components for Project Stardust. When the Grysks attacked the station, both Maliss and Sorath charged in to attack, and Maliss was killed. During the war between the First Order and the Resistance, a Dashade was present on the Wayward Comet refueling station, and got into a fight with the Resistance member Finn.
They were known to be one of the several species that enjoyed blosphi extract as a delicacy.
In the new Star Wars canon, Dashades first appeared in the novel Thrawn: Treason, written by Timothy Zahn and published in 2019. The species was first pictured in the comic Allegiance 1, written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Luke Ross, and published on October 9, 2019.
