A dark side hellscape was located in the galaxy. Its location was known to the former Sith Lord Maul and Lady Qi'ra, the leader of Crimson Dawn, but was unknown to the Sith Lords Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. Prior to his defeat at the hands of the Jedi Order, the Sith Lord Darth Momin visited the hellscape. Momin's Fermata Cage was kept stored in the hellscape. Thousands of years later, between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, the Knights of Ren and the Archivist visited the hellscape to recover the Fermata Cage at the request of Qi'ra.
