The issue shows Magna Tolvan under the control of the Scourge at the same time as the skirmish aboard the Acquisitor. As established by Doctor Aphra (2020) 39, Tolvan had already been rescued from Epikonia by the time of that skirmish. Later, the issue shows the rescue of Magna Tolvan towards the very end of the scourge of the droids, shortly before the Scourge is destroyed. However, Doctor Aphra (2020) 38 depicts the rescue and is followed by Doctor Aphra 39, by which point the Scourge has not been destroyed. However, the issue contains a possible solution: when D-Squad attacks the Scourge One, the Scourge admits it can become confused if it is seeing memories and present events. As such, these events could be shown to the reader out of order in Dark Droids 5.
