Cyberostasis, also Cybero-stasis or Cyberstatis, was a state that a droid could be forced into as a result of a traumatic experience. It was a protective reflex coded into the droid's core programming, shutting down all of the droid's systems. This condition could be triggered due to a number of stimuli. However, if a droid was unable to anticipate the trauma, the cyberstasis system would not be activated. In those situations, a droid remained activated during the trauma, resulting in puzzling and unusual behaviors.
