While the Corrupter itself participated in the Battle of Hoth, having been one of the ships damaged by the Rebel Alliance's ion cannon, the location of her task force at this point in time was unknown. However, it was possible that the task force was only assembled after the battle, when Holtz was presumably given his orders to hunt down and eliminate any surviving Rebels still hiding within the Anoat sector.
The task force discovered the presence of the Rebel Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Defiance and hunted it relentlessly. Its flagship, however, was somehow badly damaged, putting it out of action long enough for the Alliance forces to escape into hyperspace. As punishment, Holtz was assigned to patrol duty in the Outer Rim Territories; it was likely that the Corrupter Task Force went with him on this campaign.
